How do I get started?
-
Once you complete the free registration, you may begin writing comments and posting reviews. There is a short "probationary" period that is enforced to prevent misuse of the review process. During this time there are limits to the number of reviews you can post in a set period of time. Beyond that, we encourage you to participate as much as you can.

Can anyone participate?
-
For the most part, yes, this site is for everyone. As we said, we want reviews that are useful for the general audience, so reviewers are checked and validated to ensure they are posting material that others can read – like proper sentences, complete thoughts, etc. We aren't looking for Pulitzer prize winners, but submissions need to be coherent to maintain the usefulness of the site.

Why should I submit reviews?
-
There are several reasons to participate. First, by registering and posting reviews, you earn credits. That in itself is like getting paid for sharing your thoughts. Second, the more useful information you post, the higher your profile is ranked. This can lead you to becoming an ADEReview guru, where other community members seek out your opinions and rely on your advice. Third, the Internet marketing community is a tight-knit group and the better job we do of promoting great products makes it easier for all of us. Fourth, on the flip side of that, if we can all do our part to rid ourselves of the hucksters or the ones trying to make a quick profit from us, the better off we will all be.

Do you give warnings or recommendations about products or services?
-
No, ADEreview serves only to offer a forum for users with firsthand experience to share that knowledge with the community. We do not make judgments about items listed on our site, as that could influence our neutral stance.

Do you restrict or censor comments?
-
We try to make sure that all reviews and comments are useful for the community. Our members don't want to read flame wars or pointless comments. As we said, we take a neutral stance on all reviews – even if we don't agree with the conclusion – and let the community make a judgment. Think of us as a giant Ouija board

Is there a place for discussion about a product or service?
-
Yes. On the page that contains the review of the product or service, there is a link to the discussion board of that specific product or service. This allows community members to carry on conversations about the product without cluttering the main review page for the product or service.

Do you take requests or suggestions for products or services to be reviewed?
-
Yes, simply visit the request page and complete the form to recommend a product that you feel should be on the site.

How are you able to offer this all for free?
-
This site is supported by advertising and affiliate revenue. We may at some point in the future accept donations, but for now we try to cover our costs from advertisers and affiliate relationships instead of charging community members for the content
